The Well Mannered Dog

Is the latest publication by author Lez Graham best known for her series of books around ‘The Pet Gundog’ and ‘Manners not Mayhem’.

Owning a dog should be a joy, whereas in reality can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare’ - if the nightmare rather than the joy is your daily experience this book is for you. This book is more than just another dog training guide, it delivers insight to canine communication, it discusses training approach and behaviour, and yes it does give advise about what every dog should know in terms of basic commands and in fact manners.

The Well Mannered Dog is not breed specific is covers all dogs no matter size, breed, circumstance or purpose of the canine. Lez talks about living with your dog and how you can achieve harmony in the house. You can learn how to bring up a dog around children which can be challenging at times. It even touches the end of life and ways to deal with the grief that will come with it.

The publication is one to come back to time after time, most likely not a one off read. You can come back to it when a problem occurs and look for an answer to your challenge. Lez’s well-known common sense approach to writing and explaining makes the book an easy read. It is hugely encouraging and aims to develop more well mannered dogs with caring and responsible owners something that feels we lost at times.

Owning a dog is easy, but training, looking after it, developing a bond and enjoying the presence of a dog in any circumstance of life is a huge task and comes with a lot of responsibility.

We at Town & Country Dog Training follow Lez Graham’s approach to training and are more than happy to assist you in turning your dog into that well mannered and joyful companion you always wanted.
