We are based in the heart of Somerset, within easy reach of the cities of Bath and Bristol, close to Frome, Wells and Bruton and the surrounding countryside.

When Lez Graham established The Pet Gundog in 2007 it changed the way of training gundog breeds. Her methods are based on building a trusted relationship with your dog, and to learn to communicate and train your companion with common sense. As a result, you will have developed a well-mannered, relaxed dog you can be proud of and that you can take wherever you go – on a walk, to a competition or the shooting field.
The official recognition for the Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor - With this qualification and years of practical experience, I aim to pass on my knowledge to train new and existing dog lovers.

Following on from our Beginner Petgundog Training the Novice level starts with basics off the lead like walking to heel and steadiness to thrown items. We swiftly move on the more intense whistle work, multiple retrieves, hunt command and retrieving from cover to name just a few topics.
